Toward Regenerative Sustainability: A Passive Design Comfort Assessment Method of Indoor Environment

The fact that people spend a major part of their lifetime indoors, together with the lethal COVID-19 pandemic which caused to even more time inside buildings, has drawn attention significance achieving Agenda 2030 SD goal number three: good health and well-being, in reference indoor environment. research subject is well-being building users explored through sustainable (passive) design principles having an impact on comfort quality It set within regenerative sustainability framework encompassing physiological, biophilic, psychological social aspects comfort. Comfort Assessment Model’s categories, some extent, rely first author’s doctoral thesis, further modifications regarding passive criteria indicators. A comparative analysis model international certification (rating) systems been performed, proving introducing (health) related into assessment models. In addition, focus group expert architects contributed conclusions by responding questionnaire addressing issues sustainability, design, terms users, confirmed relevance applied measures for providing indoors fulfilling development goals.
